The year 2021 is wrapping up, and despite the Covid-19 pandemic, it can’t stop new smartphones from being produced and sold here in Malaysia, and therefore, here’s the top 5 best flagship smartphones for Malaysia according to my opinion.
Google Pixel 6 Pro
Google Pixel 6 Pro is actually not officially available in Malaysia, but there are ways to get this smartphone here if you really want one. The Pixel 6 Pro has an average battery life, but the increased number of customisations you can get with it’s software, and the fact it offers plenty of quality hardware in comparison to other flagships at a lower price (below RM5,000)makes it one of the best smartphones of 2021. vivo X70 Pro+
I find much joy trying out the vivo X70 Pro+ in a local store when it was just launched and the camera in my opinion was something worth to mention. While I didn’t do a review of the unit since I tried it in the store, I personally felt that there was so much the ZEISS influenced camera on this smartphone can do to perfection. Since the smartphone also doesn’t cost as much, it’s one of the best flagships out there although I do have slight reservation on its Funtouch OS. Read the highlights of the smartphone here.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra
When you talk about a well rounded smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is definitely a smartphone worth looking at since it had all the whistles and bells a flagship should have, but was released above the rest. In fact, this was the smartphone to beat all year round although I am still not a huge fan of Samsung’s version of Android.

Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra
If you are looking at a flagship smartphone that won’t break your bank or burn a hole in your pocket, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Utra is that smartphone. It has an interesting and powerful camera set, which is fitted into a very nice looking body. It’s almost identical to what Samsung is offering for their Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, but with an edge. Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max
The Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max is the best flagship smartphone not only from Apple but perhaps in the market for 2021. While iPhone cameras, software and built has been pretty good since the iPhone 11, Apple just pushed to make it even better with the iPhone 13 when they decided to improve the smartphones battery life. CONCLUSION
There’s really more than five best flagship smartphones of 2021 in Malaysia. but I will leave it just here to the top five in my list.
I hope I will get to try-out more smartphones in the future so that I can again do this sort of comparison again in the near future.
