Later this week, Xiaomi decided to announce the arrival of two Redmi Note 10 smartphone models to their Malaysian line-up.
They are the Redmi Note 10 5G and the Redmi Note 10S.
Highlights of the Redmi Note 10 series
As usual, let’s dive into what makes these two smartphone extra special if compared to the rest.
Well, as budget friendly smartphones, both phones are dual SIM ready.
However, the Note 10 5G makes 5G more accessible to the masses due to its pricing (which you can read on below), so if you have been wanting a good 5G smartphone, this is one to consider.
Other specifications of the Redmi Note 10 5G include:

- Storage: 8 GB RAM + 128 GB ROM

The other model of the Redmi Note 10, which is the Note 10S, is also 5G capable. It however does pack slightly more hardware in its slim body.
Compared to the Note 10 5G, the Note 10 has a better camera setup with the smartphone offering not only a 64MP main lens, but also an 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor.
Aside from that, the Note 10S is powered by the MediaTek G95 chipset which is designed for gamers gamers on a budget and it supports fast charge at 33W.

Redmi Note 10 5G and Redmi Note 10S availability and price
Being a budget smartphone means both models will not break the RM1,000 mark.
This means both phones are one of the cheapest 5G smartphones in the Malaysian market to date.
The Note 10 5G retails at RM799, and the Note 10S retails at RM899.
The Redmi Note 10S will be available for purchase from today (May 21) and those who buy them early can get the Mi True Wireless Earbuds Basic 2 for free, while stocks last.
The cheaper Redmi Note 10 5G however will only be sold on May 28 with Xiaomi Malaysia offering it at RM799.
Buyers of the smartphone will also be given a free Mi True Wireless Earbuds Basic 2 with an additional 6-Months Screen Protection Warranty if they buy they Note 10 5G before August 26. This promo is also while stocks last.
