HONOR has confirmed that the HONOR X9e Pro will launch in Malaysia on 24 September 2026, with the company highlighting extreme durability as one of the smartphone’s key features.
During a media briefing in Kuala Lumpur on 17 September, HONOR demonstrated the phone’s Armor-Tough Drop Resistance by subjecting its display to repeated high-impact air-gun projectiles under controlled conditions.
Despite the impacts, the device remained intact without visible cracks and continued to operate.
The durability demonstration was part of a series of extreme tests that also included hammering nails into wood, smashing metal cans and exposing the phone to impacts from a metal ball launched by a slingshot.
The HONOR X9e Pro uses HONOR Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Technology 4.0, which the company says can withstand drops of up to 3 metres across 10 different surfaces. Its 360° Dynamic Drop Resistance is designed to protect the device from drops from different angles.
Beyond durability, the X9e Pro features an 11,000mAh battery, 80W HONOR SuperCharge and 27W wired reverse charging. It also carries IP68, IP69 and IP69K protection, while its display reaches a claimed 10,000-nit peak brightness.
The phone will be available in Royal Purple, Dawn Gold, Reddish Brown and Midnight Black.
The HONOR X9e Pro officially launches in Malaysia on 24 September 2026. HONOR Malaysia will livestream the launch from 3:00 PM, with pricing, full specifications and launch gifts expected to be revealed during the event.
