OPPO has confirmed that its upcoming Find X10 Pro Max will be among the first smartphones to launch internationally with the new flagship MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset.
Built using TSMC’s advanced 2nm N2P manufacturing process, the Dimensity 9600 Pro is designed to deliver higher performance while improving power efficiency.
MediaTek claims up to a 61% improvement in CPU multi-core energy efficiency compared with the previous-generation process.
Flagship Performance
The Dimensity 9600 Pro continues MediaTek’s All-Big-Core CPU architecture, featuring two C2-Ultra cores clocked at up to 4.55GHz, alongside six performance cores.
The new CPU configuration is claimed to deliver an overall 17% performance improvement, while independent frequency control for each core allows the system to better manage different workloads and power consumption.
Graphics performance is handled by the new G2-Ultra NX GPU, which adds enhanced ray tracing and neural graphics capabilities.
Under sustained heavy workloads, MediaTek claims approximately 27% higher performance, potentially making the Find X10 Pro Max better suited for demanding mobile games and graphics-intensive applications.
AI Performance Gets a Major Upgrade
On-device AI is another major focus of the Dimensity 9600 Pro.
The chipset features a dual-NPU design combining a high-performance NPU with a Super-Efficient NPU.
The high-performance NPU delivers up to 51% faster LLM prefill performance, supporting applications such as large-language-model inference and computational photography.
Meanwhile, the Super-Efficient NPU is claimed to be 40% more power efficient, allowing AI features to operate continuously while using less power.
OPPO Laminar Flow Engine
The Find X10 Pro Max will also debut OPPO’s Laminar Flow Engine, developed jointly by OPPO and MediaTek.
The technology restructures the underlying rendering architecture and works with system scheduling to improve responsiveness while keeping power consumption under control.
OPPO says it can also help speed up app launches and maintain smoother content loading, including when quickly browsing large numbers of photos.
OPPO is expected to reveal more details about the Find X10 Pro Max and MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro at its upcoming global launch event, so do stay tuned.
