DJI Malaysia has officially launched the DJI SDR Transmission 2, a professional video transmission system designed for filmmakers and production teams requiring high-quality, low-latency wireless monitoring on demanding sets.
Built on an upgraded software-defined radio (SDR) platform, the system supports DCI 4K at 60fps, 10-bit HDR and H.265 video at up to 50Mbps, with latency as low as 35ms and a transmission range of up to 4km.
The compact transceiver weighs approximately 136g and features an integrated transmitter-receiver design, allowing each unit to switch between TX and RX modes depending on production requirements.
It is also compatible with DJI‘s professional RS gimbals, Ronin 2 and Master Wheels.
For multi-camera productions, one transmitter can connect to up to eight receivers, while larger setups can support up to five transmitters and 40 receivers simultaneously.
DJI’s Auto Channel 2.0 technology also automatically manages frequencies to improve interference resistance on busy sets.
The system supports SDI, HDMI, DisplayPort and USB-C monitoring, while the DJI Ronin app offers professional tools including LUTs, focus peaking, waveform and false colour.
Compatible cameras can also be remotely controlled for settings such as aperture, shutter speed and ISO.
Power options include NP-F batteries and USB-C PD charging, while compatible DJI gimbals can power the transceiver directly.
