OPPO has launched its new A7 Pro Series 5G in Malaysia, comprising the OPPO A7 Pro 5G and A7 Pro Max 5G. The new smartphones combine AI-powered cameras, large-capacity batteries, AMOLED displays and long-term performance features for everyday users.
The OPPO A7 Pro 5G features a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,400 nits brightness and a 92.8% screen-to-body ratio. It comes in Surfing Blue, Shine Titanium and Bloom Pink, with prices starting from RM1,699.
The higher-end A7 Pro Max 5G upgrades to a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED Ultra Bright display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,800 nits peak brightness. It is available in Surfing Blue and Lunar Black and is priced at RM2,499 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration.
AI-Powered Camera Features
Both smartphones feature a 50MP Ultra-Wide AI Zoom Selfie Camera with a 100-degree field of view. AI Auto Wide Angle Switch automatically changes between 1x and 0.6x depending on the number of people in the frame, while Natural Tone is designed to deliver more natural skin tones and textures.
The A7 Pro 5G gets an upgraded 1/2-inch main camera sensor capable of capturing 70% more light than its predecessor. The A7 Pro Max 5G further adds OIS, AI Night Mode and advanced image optimisation, alongside a rear Power Flash.
AI editing tools include AI Portrait Glow, AI Popout and AI Remix Collage for creating customised photos.
Performance and Long-Term Smoothness
The A7 Pro 5G is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6360 MAX platform, offering around a 10% overall performance improvement over the previous generation.
The A7 Pro Max 5G uses the 4nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 platform and features a larger 5,000mm² SuperCool VC cooling system. Both models also use OPPO’s Adaptive Scheduling Architecture and Collaborative Memory Scheduling to support smoother multitasking.
OPPO says the A7 Pro Series has passed its 6-year smoothness testing, with ColorOS Smoothness Boost providing ongoing system improvements through OTA updates.
Up to 10,000mAh Battery
Battery capacity is another major highlight. The A7 Pro 5G packs an 8,000mAh battery, designed to retain more than 80% capacity after 2,000 full charging cycles.
The A7 Pro Max 5G goes further with a 10,000mAh battery and 80W SUPERVOOC Flash Charge, which can fully recharge the device in approximately 91 minutes. OPPO says the battery is designed to retain over 80% capacity after 1,500 full charge cycles.
Both models also offer up to IP69K water and dust resistance and military-grade shock resistance.
OPPO A7 Pro Series Malaysia Pricing and First Sale Promotion
The OPPO A7 Pro 5G starts at RM1,699 and is available with 6GB + 256GB or 8GB + 256GB configurations. The OPPO A7 Pro Max 5G with 8GB + 256GB is priced at RM2,499.
Both smartphones are available through OPPO Malaysia’s official and authorised distribution channels such as the Official OPPO Shopee Store.
