I received a Titanium Silver HONOR X9b 5G for a review on this site ahead of its immenent launch which is scheduled this November 1st.
HONOR had previously sent me its predecessor last year, and that particular smartphone didn’t disspoint with it’s ultra strong screen.
This time around, HONOR claims that the screen and body is even stronger with the company even proving it is bulletproof.
Well, this post is about my first impression of the phone, as well as my unboxing of the HONOR X9b 5G.
Box and package
The HONOR X9b 5G box is a typical HONOR smartphone box which features the phone in a lovely Sunrise Orange.
I however got the Titanium Silver model which is one of the three colours available. The other is midnight black.
Personally, all three colours look good although the Sunrise Orange has leather finishing which sort of makes it even more premium compared to the other two.
In the box of the HONOR X9b, there’s a USB-C cable, a 3.5mm wired earphone, two transparent honor sticker, a 3.55mm – USBC dongle, a transparent case and 35W HONOR Supercharge adapter.
The box also had a pin which could be used to open the SIM tray.
First impression of the HONOR X9b 5G
The smartphone itself looks good in Titanium Silver.
Depending on the angle of the light, the smartphone can look white, silverish or blue. I personally like this colour change with the phone looking very solid in white.
The front (and screen) has a punch hole for the selfie camera, and the screen border is minimal.
The screen has a slight curve at the sides, making it comfortable to use and hold. When it comes to weight, the phone is ideal in my opnion.
The top chin has an unknown dot, while the bottom chin houses the charging port, speaker holes, and the SIM tray.
On the left of the phone, there’s the volume button which is located next to the Google Assistant button.
When the smartphone is flipped, the Titanium Silver will definately catch ones attention.
Here, you can’t miss the HONOR logo as well the big Matrix circle which houses the triple camera set-up.
To add to it’s appeal, HONOR this time added small lines on the Matrix circle to give it that expensive and sexy look.
Picking up the phone revealed that this phone is slightly heavier than its predecesor as the under the screen fingerprint scanner works like a charm to unlock the phone.
The facial recognition was also able to identify my self and unlock then phone when needed.

Conclusion
Overall, the X9b 5G does share a lot of similar physical traits like the HONOR X9a which was released in January 2023. This is of course common as most smartphones these days do not change much physically.
The real change or upgrades of this smartphone model would likely be seen and revealed in the coming review of the phone.
Then, I will give you details on the upgrades as well as my opinion on these upgrades for your reading pleasure.
In the mean time, mark your calenders for the official launch of the phone which will be also shared on PhoneSentral’s Facebook page, and check out other post related to the X9b 5G below.
