vivo has officially launched its new vivo X500 Series in Shanghai, introducing the vivo X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max as its latest imaging-focused flagship smartphones.
The series is designed around vivo’s goal of delivering a stronger balance between professional photography and cinematic video capabilities.
The flagship vivo X500 Pro Max leads the lineup with the new vivo × Sony LYTIA L910 sensor, delivering up to 17 EV ultra-high dynamic range.
It also features a 200MP ZEISS APO Telephoto Camera, 400mm-equivalent ZEISS Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra, 4K 240fps Cinematic Slow-Mo Video and 8K Native Live.
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro, paired with vivo’s Imaging Chip V3+ and Pro Imaging Chip VS1+.
For video creators, the X500 Pro Series supports 17 EV TrueDynamic Log Video, 10-bit 4:2:2 recording, ACES compatibility and professional colour workflows with DaVinci.
The series also supports 4K 120fps Log video, 4K 120fps autofocus tracking and 4K Cinematic Portrait Video.
The phones further enhance video creation with six cinematic colour styles and features such as Auto Framing Video, Vortex Shot, Super Slow-Mo and Dual View. The X500 Pro Max also features gimbal-grade OIS and CIPA 7.0 Professional Stabilization.
Meanwhile, the standard vivo X500 retains many of the series’ imaging features, including 4K 120fps slow motion, 4K 120fps 10-bit Log video, 8K Native Live and cinematic colour styles. It is powered by the Dimensity 9600M and packs a large 7,500mAh battery.
The X500 Pro Max comes with a 7,800mAh battery, while the X500 Pro features a 6,510mAh battery. All three models run OriginOS 7.
The series is rumoured for Malaysian market in October this year.
