Epson has launched the Lifestudio Grand Plus EH-LS970B, a new all-in-one home entertainment projector designed to deliver a massive 4K viewing experience of up to 150 inches without requiring a large TV or complicated installation.
The latest Epson projector combines ultra-short-throw 4K laser projection, AI-powered image processing and integrated Sound by Bose audio in a compact system designed for modern living spaces.
The EH-LS970B can project an image between 80 and 150 inches while sitting just inches away from the wall or screen.
With an ultra-short throw ratio of 0.16, it can produce a 120-inch display from approximately 17.3cm away, giving users a large-screen experience without taking up significant room space.
4K laser projection up to 150 inches
Epson’s 3LCD laser projection technology delivers up to 4,000 lumens of colour and white brightness, along with a contrast ratio exceeding 5,000,000:1.
The projector produces an on-screen 4K image with 8.3 million pixels, providing detailed visuals for movies, sports and gaming. Its high brightness is also designed to maintain vivid images in living rooms with ambient lighting.
AI-powered image processing
The EH-LS970B features a new AI-powered TV chip that analyses content in real time and automatically optimises picture quality based on the scene being displayed.
Its AI Super Resolution technology enhances sharpness and fine details, while AI Picture Quality adjusts the image automatically.
Epson also includes Dynamic Colour Booster, Local Contrast and De-contour Processing to improve colour reproduction, contrast and image gradients.
Together, these technologies are designed to produce smoother and more natural-looking visuals across different types of content.
Built-in Sound by Bose audio
Rather than requiring a separate sound system, the EH-LS970B features an integrated 20W 2.1-channel Sound by Bose speaker system.
The built-in audio system is designed to complement the projector’s large visuals with room-filling sound and deeper bass. The projector can also be used as a standalone speaker through its Bluetooth Speaker Mode.
For streaming, Google TV is built in, providing access to popular services including Netflix, Disney+ and YouTube. Google Cast and voice control further simplify content access.

Epson’s Setting Assistant app is designed to make installation easier by using a photo captured with a smartphone or other device to automatically correct image distortion and alignment.
The EH-LS970B uses a laser light source rated for up to 20,000 hours, which Epson says can provide more than 10 years of entertainment based on five hours of daily use.
