Xiaomi’s MIUI team unveiled the MIUI 10, quashing speculation that the latest MIUI version would be called MIUI X.

Well, technically, 10 in Ruman Numerals is written as ‘X’, so the name MIUI isn’t exactly far fetched, except that ‘X’ would sound way cooler than ‘ten’.

Anyway, there wasn’t much talk about what MIUI 10 would bring, but it is understood that it would be based on Android Oreo which is the latest Android version.

Last week MIUI announced that 40 Xiaomi phones had already been upgraded to MIUI 9, and I have also updated my Mi Note to MIUI which looks so much nicer than the previous version.

Good news aside, it was also made known that MIUI 9 may be the last MIUI update for some phones made by Xioami, so if you are still contemplating to upgrade your phone, perhaps this would be a good year to do so.
