The latest foldable smartphone by HUAWEI, the HUAWEI P50 pocket, will be launched alongside the HUAWEI P50 Pro this coming 12 January 2022.

The specifications both smartphones are already known as they have already been launched in China prior to this with the P50 Pro launched in July, and the P50 Pocket launched just last month.

Since I’ve detailed about the P50 Pocket quite a bit in it’s introduction, I’ll focus more on the P50 Pro smartphone which I’ve not covered.

The HUAWEI P50 Pro is said to be the last HUAWEI smartphone that has a Leica co-engineered camera system.

It’s a candy-bar handphone, and features a 6.6″ OLED screen that has a 120Hz refresh rate and a 300Hz touch sampling rate.

The rear camera gets a quad-camera setup which consists of a 50MP main camera, 40MP mono camera, 13MP ultra-wide-angle-shooter, and a 64MP telephoto camera.

The telephoto lens can zoom digitally up to 100X.

Up front, there’s a punch-hole selfie camera with 32MP quality.

The smartphone is powered by a 4,360mAh battery that supports 66W fast wired charging and 50W fast wireless charging. It comes with an IP68-rated dust and water resistance rating as well.
