OPPO Malaysia had just announced the arrival of the latest addition to the A Series line-up; OPPO A17k.
Among the highlights of this budget friendly smartphone its long-lasting battery and camera.
OPPO A17k highlights
OPPO claims that the A17k 5,000 mAh battery can provide 20 hours of phone calls or 20 hours of average view time on YouTube Video on a full charge.
The smartphone also comes with Super Power Saving Mode once the battery level drops to 10%.
Aside from that, there’s also the Super Nighttime Standby that leverages AI capabilities to learn users’ sleep patterns and reduce power consumption, which in turn limits battery usage to within just 2-3% of total capacity during a single night .
Under the hood, this smartphone has a MediaTek Helio G35 Mobile Platform and is paired with 3GB RAM + 64GB ROM.
With the RAM Expansion technology, the smartphone can borrow up to 4GB of unused ROM to further increase RAM to 7GB.
There’s a 5MP front camera and an 8MP main camera equipped in this smartphone and it can capture up to 20 continuous shots with 5x digital zoom.
There’s also imaging features like the 360° Fill Light, Portrait Retouching, HDR and other that improve photography experience entirely.
The OPPO A17k inherits OPPO’s Ultra-Slim Retro Design with a flat-edged middle frame and smoothed edges, giving the phone its sleek, premium, and trendy appearance.
It weighs approximately 189g and is around 8.29mm thick. OPPO claims that the smartphone body has been through more than 130 ultra-rigorous reliability tests and 320 comprehensive quality tests to verify its resistance to splashes, high temperature, high humidity, micro-drops, scratches, and other common wear and tear.
It is also interesting to note that the smartphone is water resistant and comes certified with an IPX4 rating.
Last but the not least, the smartphone comes with a side-fingerprint unlock and runs on an optimised ColorOS 12.1.

The A17k is already available in the market for just RM499.
