Technology company Nothing has announced today that Phone (4b) will be launching on Tuesday 7 July at 18:00 local Malaysian time
As part of the launch, Nothing is introducing an entirely new smartphone tier: the “b” series.
Based on information online, the new phone is created as a new entry point into the Nothing ecosystem, with the series designed to deliver the core Nothing experience to a new generation of users.
That said, the Phone (4b) represents the beginning of a new series and the beginning of a user’s journey into the Nothing ecosystem.
To complement this exciting ecosystem expansion, early engineering sketches suggest the upcoming Phone (4b) will feature a distinctive rear design that maintains the brand’s signature semi-transparent aesthetic, potentially utilizing a highly cost-efficient camera layout.
This strategic market release follows reports that Nothing has temporarily paused its budget-focused CMF line due to global component pricing pressures, pivoting instead toward expanding this affordable new tier under its main portfolio.

Before this tier, Nothing‘s preceding model was the Nothing Phone (4a).
Launched as a premium mid-ranger, it featured a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, a vibrant 120Hz AMOLED display, and a highly capable dual-camera setup.
The Phone (4b) is believed to aim to deliver a similarly streamlined experience at an even lower price.
