My first impression and unboxing of the Xiaomi Smart Band 9

Xiaomi recently released the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 to the Malaysian market.

Generally, Xiaomi band’s are among my personal favourite as they tend to offer long battery life, quite a lot of customisation and come with more functions if compared to other brands, and yet retain that low pricing most of us can afford.

Key specifications

Among the key features of the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 is an upgraded all-round sleep monitoring feature, and improved heart rate and SpO₂ monitoring.

It also comes with better vibrational response and a slightly bigger screen.

In addition to that, the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 also has a bigger battery which is suppposed to pull its usage up to 12 days with normal use.

Xiaomi Smart Band 9 unboxing

The box of the fitness tracker is rather basic.

You only get three things with the box, namely the band itself, the charging cable and some instructions. My unboxing video can be seen below.

Xiaomi Smart Band 9 first impression

The band looks like any other Xiaomi band out of the box. This is not something bad because it’s a design that works, and so there is no need to tweak it.

Inside the box, there the band with silicone strap already attached, magnetic charging cable and User manual.

The band body itself is made out of aluminium alloy, which to me is good because it feels premium, durable and expensive. Previous bands were made of plastic.

Accompanying the band I got is a silicone strap in Titan Grey colour with the band fitting nicely on my left wrist.

Although the strap adds some weight to the band, it still feels light and could easily be forgotten when already worn.

The larger screen display is much welcomed and I like how the colours look crisp and sharp from every angle.

Conclusion

I am going to use the band for a couple of days to see how it performs, but my first impression of the band is positive because it looks good, feels very premium, and has a very clear and large screen.

To learn more about the band, you can of course visit Xiaomi’s official website or get one yourself HERE.
