In a surprise move, customers of Maxis OnePlan today obtained a free upgrade worth 10GB of data.
The notification was received by customers via SMS, and I believe, many, like myself, welcome the free upgrade.
My check with Maxis confirms that the upgrade is permanent and free, as they directed me to their official site which shows the image below.
Aside from the 10GB increase in data allowance, the new data quota combines the weekend data quota and weekend data quota, hence giving customers just one quota, though the Maxis OnePlan 98 would still have their quota split to half for weekend and weekday use.
For those on the Sabah and Sarawak Oneplan like me, your early morning unlimited high speed surfing remains also untouched, which is awesome!
