4 Reasons why the Huawei P20 Pro beats Samsung Galaxy S9+

This article is about how Huawei P20 Pro beats Samsung Galaxy S9+ after a brief comparison.

It is done because the hottest smartphone in town isn’t owned by Samsung or Apple, but it is owned by Huawei with the Huawei P20 Pro being practically sold out in Kuching.

Several retailers and telcos have now resorted to pre-orders as stock runs low.

I know, because I tried looking for one to buy, but ended needing to either pre-order one, or fork out the whole RM3,299 to buy it.

So, this also means, I am keen to get one because I’ve done my home work, and there’s four main reasons why the Huawei P20 Pro is better than any other smartphone, including the Samsung Galaxy 9+, Google Pixel XL and even iPhone X. – Yes, I know it may not be an equal comparison when you compare the P20 Pro with Pixel XL and iPhone X, but the Huawei P20 Pro beats Samsung Galaxy S9+ due to four main things.

If you need reasons to justify my statement above. Here’s four.

Colour options for the Huawei P20 Pro

If you are looking for something different in terms of colouring, then the P20 Pro definitely for you.  Huawei this time around introduced gradient colours for their P series, making the P20 Pro spot a different colour based on the angle you are looking at it.  Not sure what you think of it, but I find the colours really refreshing and premium, better than what other smartphones offer, hence also making it easy to conclude the Huawei P20 Pro beats Samsung Galaxy S9+ in colour choices.

The three cameras on the Huawei P20 Pro

Samsung gave a lot of camera related excuse when they promoted the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+, but when the P20 Pro came out, it not only matched what the Galaxy S9 and S9+ did, but also did it better.  The three cameras in the P20 Pro, all with it’s very own purpose, allows so much to be done that images from the P20 Pro look like it’s been shot by a DSLR and not a smartphone.

4,000mAh BATTERY

What’s a smartphone without juice, right? The Huawei P20 Pro packs a massive 4,000mAh battery which is said to be able to last for 22 days on standby. On normal use, the claim is that the P20 Pro would be able to last around 2 days which is great for those always on the move.

Of course, the Huawei P20 Pro is much cheaper than what Samsung is offering for their Samsung Galaxy S9+ phones. On Lazada Malaysia, one could get the P20 Pro with freebies worth RM999 for RM3,099 on Lazada Malaysia.  The Samsung Galaxy S9+ is selling for RM3,799 without any freebies on Lazada.

Of course the Galaxy S9+ does have a 3.5mm audio jack which I thought is crucial for any smartphone, but then, that’s only one reason to put the Samsung Galaxy S9+ ahead of the Huawei P20 Pro.

The other for advantages all point to how Huawei P20 Pro beats Samsung Galaxy S9+ in terms of battery life, photo quality, colour options and price, hence making the P20 Pro the phone to beat for 2018.
