Alongside the introduction of the HUAWEI Matebook 14s was the HUAWEI nova 9. The smartphone isn’t exactly new as it was introduced in China in September 2021.
However, for the rest of the world, the smartphone is new.
HUAWEI says the smartphone is aimed at young users and the company claims that it’s very popular among such demographic.
HUAWEI nova 9 highlights
The main highlight of the smartphone is the flagship 50MP Ultra Vision Camera, which comes with flagship RYYB colour filter array (CFA) and XD Fusion engine.
HUAWEI says that the camera is capable to improve image quality particularly during low light shooting. They also claim that the flagship RYYB colour filter array provides 40% improvement of the amount of light.
Aside from that, the 6.57-inch screen supports 120Hz refresh rate and comes with 1.07 billion original colour display.
Like most of HUAWEI’s new devices, the nova 9 also provides seamless collaboration across HUAWEI devices with the smartphone itself powered by a 4,300mAh battery that is equipped with a 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge capability.

At a glance the specifications of the nova 9 do equal what is offered by the HONOR 50 which was launched just recently by HONOR.
HUAWEI nova 9 Malaysia availability and price
The smartphone comes in an exciting starry Blue colour which changes colours under the shifting light. There’s also black, green and violet, but no mention if these colours will be available in the Malaysian market for now.
Regardless, the smartphone itself isn’t available in Malaysia just officially for now.
It is believed that HUAWEI Malaysia will announce the smartphone’s availability in the near future.
