HONOR has announced a new software update policy which will see their smartphones abel to receive 3 years of Android upgrades and 5 years of security patches.
The new policy will automatically impact both the the HONOR Magic5 Series, which was crowned as the “Flagship Dark Horse” by medias, and HONOR’s first global launched foldable smartphone – HONOR Magic Vs.
Both smartphones are running on the latest HONOR MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13 which allow them to offer a range of smart features such as the MagicRing for multi-device collaboration and Magic Text for intelligent text recognition, further boost users’ productivity.
According to a press release by the company, the decision by HONOR to dedicated 3 years period for Android OS updates, is a first since their brand independence.
The 3-year assurance by HONOR for its Android OS upgrade provides users a long-term secured usage on the device’s best performance, which makes the device as well as its user, stay updated to the latest offerings by Android.
