Highlights & Specs: vivo T1x

Alongside the arrival of the vivo T1 5G today, is the vivo T1x, which is also an affordable gaming smartphone.

In fact, this smartphone cost much less than the T1 5G, retailing just below RM900 at RM899 and RM699.

It was also launched by vivo Malaysia today, and boast of some interesting features.

Before talking about the major highlights, here’s the general specifications of the T1x by vivo.

vivo T1x highlights

The vivo T1x is powered by a Snapdragon 680 processor and is available in two variants, namely the 4GB+64GB and 8GB+128GB configuration.

Like the vivo T1 5G, the T1x is also equipped with Extended RAM 2.0 technology which allows up to 4GB of idle memory to be used as extended RAM.

This allows smoother switching between apps and apps to run without lag.

If the given storage configuration isn’t adequate, the smartphone also supports storage up to 1TB.

The smartphone boast of a 6.58-inch FHD+ Incell display which delivers bright colours and vivid details at a smooth 90Hz refresh rate.

Its vivo Multi-Turbo 5.0 enhances network connection, system processor speed and power-saving performances.

In the camera department, the vivo T1x has a 50MP main rear camera which is paired with a 2MP Bokeh Camera and 2MP Super Macro Camera.

In front, a 8MP Super Night Selfie camera is also included.

To keep it powered, the device is also fitted with a 5,000 mAh battery which supports 18W Fast Charge ad it comes in two colours; Gravity Black and Space Blue.

Personal thoughts on the T1x

At RM699, this is a cheap gaming smartphone that does the job.

To me, the price already reveals the fact that some components were built using cheap materials and this is true with the frame and back.

This isn’t entirely a bad thing because plastic means you do not have to worry about cracks.  However, it also means the smartphone will feel cheap and less premium.

Like the vivo T1 5G, the Gravity Black looks nice to me but I would get a more powerful smartphone if I were into gaming.
