Free calls from 10PM to 10 AM for Malaysians

With most of Malaysia not allowing Hari Raya visitations or balik kampung, several major telcos in Malaysia have decided to offer free calls to their customers.

The Minister of Communications and Multimedia, Saifuddin Abdullah announced that the effort, organised by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), will involve Celcom, Digi, Maxis, redONE, TM, Time dotCom, Tune Talk, U Mobile, Yoodo, and Yes 4G.

The move is expected to benefit Malaysians who are affected by the recently implemented Movement Control Order (MCO) which does not allow any form of public gatherings for celebrations of Hari Raya.

The free unlimited voice calls will start start from 10:00 PM tonight on 12 May, until 10:00 AM tomorrow morning on 13 May 2021.

Although said to be free, customers are encouraged to check with their respective telcos on the terms and conditions of the 12 hour free unlimited service as it is still bound by their respective telcos.
