Epson launches next-gen EcoTank printers in Malaysia with faster printing, smarter mobile features and 5-year warranty

Epson Malaysia has expanded its EcoTank lineup with a new generation of ink tank printers designed for home users, students and small businesses looking for affordable, high-volume printing.

The new lineup consists of the L1310, L3310, L3316, L3350, L3356 and L5390, all of which will be available in Malaysia starting 1 July 2026.

Building on the success of more than 100 million EcoTank printers sold worldwide, the latest models focus on faster performance, lower operating costs and improved convenience, while maintaining the refillable ink tank system that has made the EcoTank series popular.

One of the biggest selling points remains the printers’ low running cost. Using Epson’s 65ml ink bottles, users can print up to 4,700 black-and-white pages and 7,500 colour pages before needing a refill, making the new models suitable for both everyday documents and colour printing.

Epson has also redesigned the printers with a more compact footprint—up to 20% smaller than previous generations—making them easier to fit into home offices or limited workspace environments.

The integrated ink tank design also features colour-coded refill ports for a cleaner and more intuitive ink refilling experience.

For users who rely on mobile devices, the L3350, L3356 and L5390 support the Epson Smart Panel app, allowing users to set up the printer, monitor status, print, scan and copy directly from a smartphone or tablet.

These models also support Apple AirPrint and Mopria for seamless wireless printing without installing additional drivers.

Meanwhile, the flagship L5390 adds an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) and fax functionality, making it a better fit for small offices that frequently handle multi-page documents.

Across the entire range, Epson says the printers are built for long-term reliability, with support for up to 50,000 printed pages under warranty, replaceable maintenance boxes for easier servicing, and semi-automatic print adjustment to maintain consistent print quality over time.

The new EcoTank series also uses Epson Heat-Free Technology, which consumes less electricity compared to conventional laser printing systems, helping reduce energy usage while keeping operating costs low.

According to Alvin Tan, Managing Director of Epson Malaysia, the new EcoTank lineup is designed to meet the growing demand for reliable and cost-efficient printing solutions for both home and business users.

The new Epson EcoTank printers will be available nationwide from 1 July 2026 through Epson authorised dealers and retail partners.
