Last November ASUS announced the ASUS Vivobook 13 Slate OLED, but today, ASUS Malaysia announced its official entry into the Malaysian market.
This is a 2-in-1 laptop which can also become a tablet.
The 13.3-inch touch screen display is said to be the first OLED detachable laptop in the market.
It’s screen is a native Full HD resolution and is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass which supports Dolby Vision contents. Aside from that, the display is also DisplayHDR True Black 500 certified and a Pantone Validated display, in which is said to emit less blue light.
Inside the nicely built laptop is a Intel® Pentium® Silver N6000 Processor which is paired with the usual Intel® UHD Graphics.
The memory combination for the variant sold in Malaysia is 256GB SSD with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, with a pair of 5.0M and 13.0M camera completes its key specs.
Aside from that, the laptop also comes with a pair of USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C which support display and power delivery, a 3.5mm Combo Audio Jack and Micro SD card reader.
For photography, there’s a 5MP camera on the front, the 13MP camera at the rear.
The laptop is powered by a 3-cell Li-ion battery, and the Power Key acts as a biometric fingerprint scanner as well.
The laptop sells with a detachable keyboard and detachable stand. Unlike the stand, the keyboard is not magnetically detachable to the body of the computer.
Without the mount and the keyboard, the laptop turns itself into a tablet which is less than 1KG in weight the Stylus which is also provided will be key.
The ASUS Pen 2.0 active stylus is said to have 4096 pressure levels, four interchangeable tips, and a battery life of up to 140 hours.

ASUS Malaysia retails the Vivobook 13 Slate OLED at RM3,499.
However, the laptop is now being offered by the company with Touch ‘N Go e-wallet credit worth RM200 to the first 50 customers.
In addition to that, those who buy the laptop before 14 February will also get a free ASUS WT425 Wireless Optical Mouse.
