If you are a music lover like I am, then this would be great news for you – Spotify, one of the world’s top music streaming platform, is offering their Spotify Premium service for a mere RM2/month! – If you ain’t familiar with Spotify, think about it as ASTRO (the Malaysian satelite TV), only for music.
The offer however ends at the end of the year, in which those the normal RM14.90/month rates would apply if you subscribe for Spotify Premium after the new year.
Of course there’s a catch, which is the Spotify Premium would only cost you RM2/month for a total of three months, and the offer is only valid for new Premium subscribers, which means if you’ve tried Spotify Premium before, you are not eligible.
If you are one of those who signed up for the RM2/month promo, be prepared to pay RM14.90/month for your Spotify Premium when you enter the fourth month of your subscription.
Anyway, if you ask me, RM2/month is indeed just nice to pay for music, but since the offer isn’t lasting for years to come, you might as well get your family members to join in and sign up for the Spotify Premium for Family package which cost RM22.40/month for six family members.
If my math is right, that’s RM3.75/month, per family, which is not too bad to have access to Spotify Premium.
