Samsung Galaxy Note20 Plus rumors are now steadily on the rise as the successor of the Samsung Galaxy Note10 Plus seems to be imminent.
The phone coded as SM-N986U is also said to be named the Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra. Ice Universe however dismissed this and said that the Galaxy Note20 Ultra will be much more refined.
Either way, I will use the name Samsung Galaxy Note20 Plus here for this rumor post.
According to numerous tech sites, the leap in name (from Note10 to Note 20) is to signify the massive changes Samsung intends to bring to their new line of flagship devices.
As the excitement builds up, rumors start to crop up, and here’s what the rumors from numerous sources suggest so far.

SCREEN & BUILT
Some sellers on Alibaba have started selling phone cases for the Samsung Galaxy Note20 Plus. Renders show that the Note20 Plus might get a curved screen as the left and right sides of the case go up only part way.
Renders by Pigtou show the phone in better imagination.
The latest flagship will likely get the fastest refresh rate at 120Hz with QHD resolution.
SamMobile in June released a rumour saying that the resolution for the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus is weird. According to the site, “The latest finding suggests that the larger Galaxy Note 20+ may feature a somewhat odd screen resolution.
It further says “It also points towards a 19.3:9 aspect ratio for the handset’s display.”
This comes as the HTML5 test for Note20 Plus was spotted to have listed a 3096×1444 pixel resolution and 19.3:9 aspect ratio.
Photos of the Galaxy Note20 Plus have resurfaced online from leakster Ice Universe as you can see below.
As seen, the display is really sharp and the curved screen is evident. As you can see, there’s a punch hole dot up front of the screen, which is likely the selfie camera.
At the bottom of the phone, there’s no audio jack, and there’s space for the S-Pen, speaker and USB-C.

PROCESSOR & STORAGE
It is highly rumored that the Note20 Plus will use the 5nm Exynos 992 chipset.
CAMERA SET-UP
IceUniverse on Twitter and Weibo said that the Samsung Galaxy Note20 Plus smartphone will have a 108MP sensor. In addition to that, the ToF sensor will be replaced by a laser focus sensor, assisting the main cam.
According to the leak, the sensor behind the ultrawide-angle lens will be a 12MP ISOCELL Fast 2L3, which is 1/2.55” in size and comes with PDAF.
IceUniverse also said that there will also be a periscope telephoto lens at 13MP with Samsung no longer pursuing 100X zoom and instead will limit the camera capabilities to 50X.
BATTERY
GSM Arena reports that the Samsung Galaxy Note20 Plus will be getting a 4,500mAh battery, if leaks are to be accurate. This is an increase from the 4,300mAh the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus.
