Realme today announced their second wearable called the Realme Watch.
The smartwatch is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, and is built around a 1.4″ color touchscreen of 320×320 pixel resolution, which has a pixel density of 323 ppi and 380 nits brightness with 10 levels of adjustment.
By default, there’s 12 watch faces, which the main one displaying time, date, day, weather, step count, heart rate and burned calories.
The number o watch faces should increase to over 100 in the future.
In terms of function, the watch features 24×7 heart rate monitoring using PPG sensor to measure heart rate.
There’s also a SpO2 monitor which measures the blood oxygen level.
There’s 14 Sports Modes, available with Aerobic Capacity, Badminton, Treadmill, Elliptical and Table Tennis being the new ones introduced by Realme.
The watch also comes with a Camera Control and Music Control.
These buttons allow you to control both the camera shutter and navigate your music respectively.
Other functions of the watch include Smart Notifications, sedentary reminder, drink reminder, sleep monitor, and meditation relaxing.
The watch has an IP68 dust and water resistance rating as well.
Powering the watch is a 160 mAh battery which is claimed to be able to provide seven days of juice with the heart rate monitoring system turned on 24×7. If you do away with the heart monitoring, Realme claims the battery can last for nine days.
The watch is also good looking with Realme offering the watch in two strap designs – Classic Strap and Fashion Strap.
The former will arrive in a single Black color, while the latter will be offered in Red, Blue and Green shades.
Sine the Watch will be part of Realme’s AIoT strategy, Realme plans to make the Realme Watch the center of its AIoT system.
This means that future OTA updates will make it possible for owners to control and link multiple AIoT devices with the Realme Watch without having to open the smartphone.
The Realme Watch is priced at $53/€48 (MYR230) and it will go on sale from June 5th in selected markets.
