OPPO recently announced the latest addition to its popular Reno series, the OPPO Reno8 T series.
The line-up introduces two new additions – the Reno8 T 5G and Reno8 T 4G.
OPPO Reno8 T highlight
The company claims that the 108MP Portrait Camera and Ultra-Clear Imaging System are key selling points of the smartphone.
The Reno8 T 5G in particular implements OPPO’s first 108MP Portrait Camera which also features a 40x Microlens and a 2MP Depth Camera together with a 32MP Selfie Camera for an upgraded photography experience throughout.
The 4G variant comes with a 100MP Portrait Camera, which is featured alongside a 32MP Selfie Camera and a 2MP Microlens with 20x or 40x magnification.
Both smartphones provide a range of portrait features, including Selfie HDR, Bokeh Flare Portrait, and more. This according to OPPO allows for amazing portrait photography.
The 5G variant comes with a 6.7-inch large AMOLED display which supports a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 3D curved screen and 3D back cover. This screen offers a 93% screen-to-body ratio and 2.32 mm lower bezel.
In addition to that, the smartphone also comes with a 120Hz touching sampling rate that can be increased to 1,000Hz instantaneous sampling rate in certain game scenarios.
It also offers 1 Billion Colour Display and FHD+ Resolution.
Inside, the smartphone series comes with a battery which can be charged to 100% in 44 minutes using 67W SUPERVOOCTM.
A 5-minute charge is said to last for 5.59 hours of phone calls or 3.56 hours of videos.
The 4,800mAh battery can provide up to 389 hours of standby with the battery lifespan up to 1,600 charging cycles.
The Reno8 T 4G features a 5,000mAh battery and 33W SUPERVOOCTM charging technology, Reno8 T can be charged to 100% in 67 minutes or offers 2.01 hours talk with a 5-minute charge.
In terms of storage, the handset comes with 8GB RAM plus 256GB ROM as the standard specification, with the option to expand RAM by up to 8GB RAM using OPPO’s RAM Expansion technology. Delivering exceptional visual entertainment on Reno8 T is a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate.
Both smartphones are preinstalled with the latest ColorOS 13.

Reno8 T 5G is already available from 7 February 2023 in Sunrise Gold and Midnight Black at RM 1,799.
Those who pre-order the Reno8 T 5G will receive free gifts worth RM 377, which includes the Enco Buds2, 1-year screen protection warranty and 1-year extended warranty.
