OPPO had stated that it will be the first brand to implement the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 in the upcoming Reno13 series.
The brand says in a statement that this marks another milestone in the deep strategic collaboration between OPPO and MediaTek, delivering users groundbreaking advancements in power efficiency, gaming, and AI capabilities.
OPPO and MediaTek jointly optimised this high-performance, energy-efficient AI-smartphone chip.
Fabricated with TSMC’s second-generation 4nm process, Dimensity 8350 features MediaTek’s advanced NPU, which delivers 8x faster generative AI processing, 2x improvements in compute tasks, supports up to 10 billion parameter LLMs, and achieves a 3.3x boost in AI performance.
OPPO says this results in a 20% performance increase with 30% lower power consumption compared to the previous generation.
It also comes equipped with industry-leading AI capabilities, and fully supports Reno13 Series’ extensive AI features on the all-new ColorOS 15.
OPPO says that with a powerful NPU 780 and a generative AI engine, the Mediatek Dimensity 8350 delivers a 3.3x improvement in overall AI performance over previous products.
This elevates Reno13 Series’ user experience in AI-powered imaging, and gaming delivering faster, more refined multi-frame fusion for superior photo quality, and a 60% boost in peak performance with up to 55% greater efficiency when gaming.
