My first impression of the HONOR X9c 5G

Last year, HONOR came out with the tough HONOR X9b, which was their toughest smartphone yet, but the phone now has a predecessor in the HONOR X9c 5G.

This smartpone is not only newer, it also comes with some pretty decent additions which create a phone which is quite well rounded.

Below are the quick links to my first impression of the phone.

Box and package

The HONOR X9c 5G box only contains four important things, the phone itself, the SIM tray pin, a USB-C cable and a 120W charging block.

First impression of the HONOR X9c 5G

Unlike it’s predecessor, the HONOR X9c 5G comes in three different colours this time around, Titanium Purple, Titanium Black and Jade Cyan. I got the Titanium Black which to me looks really gorgeous. The Titanium Purple looks equally good as well.

At 189g, the phone feels just nice in my palms, and I like the smoothness the Titanium Black feels despite being slightly matte.

Although the Titanium Black does not easily attract finger prints, I noticed it does tend to get slight smudges which can be quite a turn off. However, there is a silicone case given, so I think I could just polish it shinning, and then put on the case to keep it nice and polished.

The Matrix circle camera bump, which holds the cameras looks more premium than the predecessor’s camera bump as it has this golden luxury circle which adds to its elegence.

The mixture of the golden luxry circle against the matter Titanium Black rear is something I find very fitting.

For comfort, the HONOR X9c 5G comes with a flagship 6.78-inch eye comfort Curved OLED Display.

This curved screen makes holding the smartphone fun because it is comfortable.

Thanks to HONOR’s Anti-Drop 2.0, this feeling can be extended without any worry and the use of any case for years as you don’t need additional screen protectors or tempered glass to protect the phone from damage.

Other than that, the HONOR X9c 5G is a very polished upgrade from the HONOR X9b 5G with the phone having better IP ratings, bigger battery, faster charging capabilities and of course a much tougher durability.

Unboxing and first impression video

I did record the unboxing video of the HONOR X9c 5G, and you can check it out below.

Conclusion of the HONOR X9c 5G

My first impression of the HONOR X9c 5G is nothing but positive because I like the matte Metalic colours if offers, and there is enough upgrades for one to actually make the change.

Aside from that, the phone feels very different from its predecessor and it’s pricing at just RM1,499 – RM1,699 seems to sit well for many.

I will spill more about this phone after I use it more intensively in the next few days, so stay tuned!
