HUAWEI today launched two new productivity powerhouse laptops, the HUAWEI MateBook D16 and HUAWEI MateBook 16s at the HUAWEI APAC Smart Office Launch 2022.
The new HUAWEI MateBook D16 has a 16-inch FullView display with a screen-to-body ratio of 90% and novel 16:10 aspect ratio, which features a brand-new eye-comfort HUAWEI FullView Display.
It also comes powered with the 12th Gen Intel® Core™ Processor, which consists of up to i7-12700H, and comes with 14 cores and 20 threads with a max, and turbo frequency of up to 5G Hz.
The 15.6-inch laptop also weighs just 1.7k, which is quite light considering what it offers.
Under the hood, the Matebook is also equipped with the HUAWEI Shark fin Fan cooling system which allows users to freely switch between Standard Mode and Performance Mode, and the innovative HUAWEI Metaline Antenna technology allows users to enjoy stable wireless networks.
For content creators and writers, the 1.5mm key travel and soft-landing design – inspired by space probes – makes all-day typing easy as well.
The HUAWEI MateBook 16s on the other hand is powered by the 12th Gen Intel® Core™ Processor, which consists of up to i7-12700H. This processor comes with 14 cores and 20 threads with a max, and turbo frequency of up to 5G Hz.
The MateBook 16s uses the Intel Iris® Xe Graphics with the bezels of the Matebook ranging from only 5.2mm to 7.3mm. This puts the screen-to-body ratio up to 90%.
For those always typing, the Matebook 16s introduces the Soft-landing design for the keys where there is a cushion for the switches as they are being pressed. This slows the keys down before they land and it helps to maintain a quality and comfortable typing experience for long periods of time.
Both HUAWEI MateBook D16 and HUAWEI MateBook 16s take multi-device collaboration to a whole new level, thanks to Super Device.
Super Device allows one to effortlessly connect to other compatible HUAWEI devices nearby, and collaborate between them seamlessly for a smart working experience. This includes a prompt for quick and easy pairing.

According to Huawei Malaysia, both laptops are now available in Malaysia as explained below.
The Matebook D16 is priced from RM3,699 and it is available for pre-order from today until 5 August 2022 with freebies worth up to RM1,028 on HUAWEI Official Website, HUAWEI Official Store on Shopee or HUAWEI Flagship Store on Lazada.
The HUAWEI MateBook 16s on the other hand is also available from RM6,799 from today until 5 August 2022 with freebies worth up to RM1,727 on HUAWEI Official Website, HUAWEI Official Store on Shopee or HUAWEI Flagship Store on Lazada.
