realme introduced the new realme C61 today, marking their latest addition to the C-series.
Interestingly, this particular smartphone is not only known for it’s affordability, but it’s toughness with realme officially putting a 2 year (or 730 days) 1-to-1 replacement for the device.
Here, I unbox the phone and give you my firts thoughts of the realme C61.
Box and package
Packaging of the smartphone looks very similar to other realme smartphones I’ve reviewed in the past like the realme C67 and realme C65.
However, instead of pushing the box down, I need to slide the box to reveal its contents.
Aside from the phone, inside, there’s a transparent silicone case, a white USB-C cable, a SIM tray pin and a 15W SUPERVOOC charging block.
First impression of the realme C61
The smartphone comes in two colours – sparkle gold and dark green. I am not a fan of both gold and green to be honest, but the sparkle gold that was sent to me for this review somewhat looks quite impressive.
From afar, the sparkle gold doesn’t look like much (although I personally like how monotanous it looks from far), but with closer inspection, the exquisite textures radiate nicely under different lighting.
In my opinion, this gives the phone that ‘expensive and premium’ look that is always dynamically changing.
At 7.85mm thick, the smartphone allows me to use my thumb without overstretching itself as my thumb can reach almost the whole screen of the phone without much effort.
In directly, it allows me to boast to others that I am carrying a premium smartphone. The ultra-slim design also enables me to easily slip the phone into my side pocket without it looking too intrusive.

My brief unboxing, as well as my first impresion of the realme C61 can be seen in the video below.
Conclusion of the realme C61 first impression
The realme C61 is no flagship smartphone, but it certainly looks like one, despite only being priced at RM499.
As far as first impressions are concerned, I feel that the smartphone is a capable smartphone that is durable and good for every day use.
A more comprehensive review of the this smartphone will be made available later this week, so stay tuned.
