Like most newer smartphones in this era, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G has enhanced its appeal by also having Artificial Intelligence (AI) functions as its main feature.

To learn about all the AI features in this phone, you need to go to Setting > AI Services. Here you will be greeted with six AI general categories namely Notes, Gallery, Recorder, AI Subtitles, AI Interpreter and Circle to Search.

I have to point out that I’ve notice the AI functions for this device are readily available by default which is a good thing as some phone brands do require you to manually activate them in settings in order to use them.

Aside from that, you can also get better access to these AI functions when using the Mi Browser although I am not a fan of the advert which pops up upon opening the app.

Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G AI highlights

Since there are so many AI functions for the Redmi Note 14 Pro + 5G, with some being rather common in today’s smartphones, I’ve decided to list down my favourite AI feature in this phone. Here’s highlights of the AI features I really loved on this device.

AI in Gallery

As a content creator, there are times the photos I have at my disposal aren’t exactly how I want them to appear. This is largely due to poor photo angles, poor photo taking, or just having a small image at hand.

This is precisely where the AI functions in the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G Gallery come in.

Here, there’s three main features namely AI expand, AI Erase Pro and AI Film which help address these issues.

One of my personal favourite is AI Erase Pro. You can see AI Erase Pro at work shown below.

AI Expander is also equally impressive as it allows me to expand photos with the outcome looking very natural as well. An example can be seen below.

With AI Film, making videos and vlogs are amazingly also pretty fast! See how the feature works in the video below.

Thanks to these three AI features, photos for my blogs can now more focused, better and clearer.

AI in Notes

The Notes function in the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G comes with four AI functions, namely the AI summary, AI Layout, AI proofreading and AI translate.

As a content creator, these functions are really important and useful as it helps me create better content and write-ups.

It also helps me to translate and sumarize press releases for this site (when needed) with ease.

AI in Recorder

In recorder, AI services come in Speaker recognition, AI translate and AI summary.

Speaker recognition enables the creation of an organized transcript, while AI translate performs speech-to-text transcriptions to other languages.

AI summary on the other hand allows recording to be highlighted to key points and themes.

Other AI functions

The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G also comes with more AI functions like AI Subtitles, AI Intepreter, AI Gemini and Circle to Search.

Both AI Subtitles and AI Interpreter are ‘kept’ in the System Toggles (as seen below) and needs to be selected to make it easier to use.

AI Subtitles works great if I wanted to have subtitles for a video that doesn’t have subtitles as it can capture the audio, and immediately provide subtitles for me to read.

While activating it is rather simple, setting to have the video you want to watch with the subtitles needs some getting used to.

AI Interpreter on the other hand enables me to talk to people who use different languages with ease as it immediately translates a conversation into a selected language I understand.

This function is easy to use and very helpful, if you happen to comunicate with someone who doesn’t speak the same language. The translation also reads out the translation which helps make the conversation more natural. It’s like having my own translator nearby (but in my phone!)

In addition, Google’s AI Gemini is also easily a tap away with the side button, and it comes with Gemini ‘Live’ which is not only pretty fun to use, but also very informative. – It’s almost like Siri, but much better.

Last but not least, Circle to Search is a very helpful AI feature in the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G.

To use it, I just need to touch and hold the home screen or the navigation handle before I start circling to search for something on the internet.

Results from the search are instantaneous, further enhancing the ease to get information shown using the Redmi phone.

Conclusion

The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G AI functions make this mid-range smartphone something worth considering.

The fact that AI features is well integrated in the phone’s system, with each AI service easily accesible, makes the phone a powerhouse for working and content creation.
