Yes (YTL Communications) launched Malaysia’s first 5G Advanced prepaid product: the “Yes 5G Advanced Starter Pack.”
Priced at RM10, the pack includes 20GB of data with uncapped speeds and a market-leading 30-day validity.
This launch marks the completion of Yes’s nationwide rollout of 5G Advanced technology, which now covers 82.4% of populated areas.
This milestone positions Malaysia as the 9th country globally to adopt this “pre-6G” standard.
Key Benefits and Features
The new products allows improved indoor penetration, higher-definition streaming, smoother, low-latency connection for stable gameplay and industrial use and more robust connectivity.
It is also an AI-ready network which caters to latency-sensitive AI workloads that pave the way for physical AI.
It also comes with automatic upgrades which means all existing Yes prepaid, postpaid, and broadband customers are automatically upgraded to 5G Advanced at no additional cost.
For those not yet on YES, they can also enjoy the new service by getting the starter pack via Yes stores, Shopee, TikTok Shop, with the starter packs also available at MyNews and CU convenience stores on December 22.
