Xiaomi’s latest product launch in Malaysia wasn’t just about the REDMI Note 17 Series.
Alongside its latest REDMI Note lineup, the company has expanded its wearable and audio portfolio with the REDMI Watch 6 Active, REDMI Watch 6 Lite and a new Mist Blue version of the REDMI Headphones Neo.
The new devices are aimed at users looking for more practical everyday technology, from fitness tracking and health monitoring to GPS navigation and active noise cancellation.
REDMI Watch 6 Active brings AMOLED display and 140+ sports modes
The REDMI Watch 6 Active is designed as an everyday smartwatch, featuring a 1.85-inch AMOLED display with up to 1,200 nits peak brightness.
It also comes with an Always-on Display, allowing users to check the time and other information without fully waking the screen.
Despite its large display, the smartwatch maintains a slim 9.9mm body and weighs just 26g.
Its flat-frame design, rounded corners and 2.5D curved glass give it a contemporary look, while interchangeable straps and multiple watch faces allow users to customise the device.
Battery life is another major feature of the REDMI Watch 6 Active.
Xiaomi rates the smartwatch for up to 18 days of battery life under light usage, reducing the need for frequent charging.
The watch also supports Bluetooth calling, allowing users to communicate directly from their wrist. Health features include all-day heart-rate monitoring, blood oxygen tracking, stress monitoring, sleep tracking and women’s health management.
For fitness enthusiasts, the smartwatch offers more than 140 sports modes and carries an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.
REDMI Watch 6 Lite targets more serious fitness users
The REDMI Watch 6 Lite takes the wearable experience a step further with a larger 1.96-inch AMOLED display and up to 1,500 nits peak brightness.
It also features an Always-on Display and adaptive brightness, while its 9.9mm slim profile and 27.8g weight are designed to keep it comfortable for extended wear.
However, the Watch 6 Lite’s biggest selling point may be its outdoor tracking capabilities.
The smartwatch features five-system GNSS positioning, allowing users to track outdoor routes without having to carry their smartphone.
This makes it particularly relevant for runners, hikers and other outdoor users who want location tracking directly from their smartwatch.
The Watch 6 Lite also brings enhanced swimming capabilities. Its 9-axis sensor can recognise swimming strokes and provide information such as average speed, underwater heart-rate changes and SWOLF efficiency.
With 5ATM water resistance, more than 150 sports modes and all-day health monitoring, the Watch 6 Lite is positioned as the more fitness-oriented option of the two new REDMI watches.
Battery life is rated at up to 18 days under light usage.
REDMI Headphones Neo gets a new Mist Blue colour
Xiaomi has also refreshed its audio lineup with a new Mist Blue colour for the REDMI Headphones Neo.
The headphones were introduced as the first headphones under the REDMI lineup in Malaysia and are designed around noise cancellation, call quality and high-resolution audio.
The REDMI Headphones Neo features 42dB Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), with the system automatically adjusting the noise reduction level based on changes in surrounding environmental noise.
This should make the headphones suitable for a variety of listening environments, particularly when users want to reduce background distractions.
For calls, Xiaomi has included a triple-microphone AI call noise reduction system designed to improve voice clarity in challenging environments.
The headphones also carry Hi-Res certification, targeting users who want higher-quality audio transmission.

The new products are positioned across different price points:
- REDMI Watch 6 Active: RM159 promotional price, down from RM229
- REDMI Watch 6 Lite: RM249 promotional price, down from RM299
- REDMI Headphones Neo Mist Blue: RM239 promotional price, down from RM399
This puts the REDMI Watch 6 Active as the most affordable entry point, while the Watch 6 Lite adds features such as built-in GNSS and advanced swimming tracking for users who need more comprehensive fitness functionality.
The new REDMI wearable and audio products are part of Xiaomi’s wider September product rollout in Malaysia.
The products are available through Xiaomi Stores and mi.com, alongside Xiaomi’s official stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop. The promotional period runs from 5 September until 30 September 2026.
