Xiaomi will be making its Xiaomi 12 Series in Malaysia, a couple of month after it was announced in China.
This makes Malaysia among the first few markets outside of China to enjoy the latest flagship by the brand.
For the Malaysian market, Xiaomi Malaysia will be bringing in two models (out of the three) of the series, namely the standard Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro.
Both smartphones share similar design and are powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. What sets them apart is the screen size with the Pro model getting a larger 6.73-inch WQHD+ AMOLED display while the standard variant offer getting a smaller 6.28-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display.

Malaysia price and availability
Both models of the Xiaomi 12 Series will be available via pre-orders in Malaysia until 23 March 2022.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro comes with a standard 12GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage and it retails at RM3,899.
The standard Xiaomi 12 with 8GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage retails cheaper at RM2,999.
Those who pre-order the two variants of the smartphone above will get a free Xiaomi Soundbar 3.1ch, 1-year extended warranty, and 6-month coverage for a free screen replacement.
If you opt for the Xiaomi 12 variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage, you will need to pay RM2,899.
