Today, SPay Global announced that their e-wallet services are up and running after being down for over 24 hours.
The company says that it will continue to monitor their services to ensure that it will be fully restored.
Most websites and services linked to the Sarawak Government have been reported to be down, including their e-wallet SPay Global.
According to the Borneo Post, this was due to a fire which had happened in Wisma Bapa Malaysia, which was specified at the server room owned by SAINS, a GLC which owns and operates the Sarawak Government digital properties.
SPay Global in a statement said that they sincerely apologies for the inconveniences and said that they aim to restore services as soon as possible.
SPay is widely used e-wallet in Sarawak with the e-wallet being used in almost every service related to the Sarawak government.
It was previously known as Sarawak Pay prior to its rebranding.
