There is a lot going with the realme GT 7 Pro to put in this review, but I will try my best to fit everything I tested and noticed.
Basically, the realme GT 7 Pro is the flagship smartphone of realme, and it is nothing short of incredible, perhaps being one of the best Android smartphones I’ve tested to date.
This will be a lengthy article, so if you just want to know certain specifics, click on the links below.

Main highlights
The major highlights of this smartphone come in the processor, the camera set-up, it’s Ai capabilities and its battery.
Based on my usage, I also like how the phone has a very nice back panel as well as a clear and crips display.
In case you have not known, the realme GT 7 Pro is the first smartphone to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite in Malaysia.
According to realme, this processor not only has an Antutu score of over 3 million, but also comes with better efficiency if compared to the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s SoC (System on Chip), a first for any Android SOC.
The rear camera set-up comes with three Sony sensors, and there are tonnes of AI capabilities which would help one use the phone, as well as improve photos.
In addition to that, the smooth and unique Orange Mars back panel is a joy to touch and see, with the 6.78-inch AMOLED screen offering perfect balance for movie and photo viewing.
Now to elaborate on every component of the phone.

Design & body
Specs: 162.45mm x 76.86mm x 8.55mm, 222.8g, In-screen ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
The design and body of the realme GT 7 Pro is distinctive because of its camera bump and premium looking back panel.
There are two main colours to choose from when it comes to the realme GT 7 Pro; the Mars Orange which I got, and the Titanium Grey.
Both look amazing, but Mars Orange looks more striking than the other.
If however, you aren’t a fan of the Mars Orange or Titanium Grey, the phone does come with a black silicone case which is not only flexible and soft, but rather nice to put on.

I elaborated on my opinion on the physical of the realme GT 7 Pro in my first impression which you can check out in the link below.
Screen & Display
Specs: 6.78 inch AMOLED Display with 89.7% screen-to-body ratio. 2780×1264 resolution, 120Hz peak refresh rate, 6000 nits maximum brightness
The RealWorld Eco2 Display is one of the top displays in the market which is developed with Samsung, and it was previously exclusive to Samsung foldable phones.
The realme GT 7 Pro therefore has the most colourful display in the industry with colours popping sharp and crisp, making movie watching as well as gaming very satisfying.

The 6000 nits allow colours from the phone to remain nicely displayed despite strong light indoors or outdoors.
Audio System
Specs: Dual stereo speakers
The dual speakers are loud and produce precise sound with the phone having automated or different sound profiles to allow better audio based on what is currently playing.
The audio sounds so much louder when the phone is placed flat when watching movies or YouTube.
During gaming, the position of the speakers help avoid it from constantly being muffled by the hands hence increasing satisfaction when gaming as well.
Processor, RAM & Storage
Specs: 16 GB RAM, 512GB storage space, Snapdragon 8 Elite processor
With 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage space, there’s plenty of room for multitasking as well as storage in the realme GT 7 Pro. The Snapdragon 8 Elite allows for faster processing while conserving more energy when in use.
I tested the phone’s performances with 3DMark Solar Bay and the results show that it is 100% better than the likes of the Apple iPhone 15 Pro, Xiaomi 14, Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra .

120fps remains stable throughout my gameplay as well, allowing satisfying graphics and gameplay as well.
Despite the 11,480mm2 Iceberg VC Cooling system, the phone does feel warm when I was doing the 20 minute 3DMark Solar Bay test, although such experience wasn’t the case when I was playing PUBG.
I guess if pushed too far, even the best cooling system will still allow some heat out but if under normal gaming, such heat shouldn’t appear.
Software
Specs: realme UI 6.0 (Based on Android 15)
The Xiaomi HyperOS runs smoothly and does not dissapoint. It is also snappy and easy to use and does multitasking without much fuss.
There is plenty of customisation and themes to choose from, and when I used the phone for gaming, it also activates a function called ‘Game Turbo’ which allows me to further boost performances by freeing up storage space, memory and more.

Camera
Specs: 16MP front camera, 50MP Sony IMX906 main rear camera with OIS, Sony IMX882 50MP telephoto camera with OIS, Sony IMX355 8MP wide-angle camera
The phone comes with three Sony sensors with two of them having image stabilisation.
The phone can improve quality of photos which are not captured clearly using the AI Motion Deblur, AI Snap Mode and more.
More about the AI functions will be explained in the software section of this review, with this section more on the camera capabilities.

Photography
That said, let’s talk about the realme GT 7 Pro photography capabilities first.
To be honest, taking photos with the realme GT 7 Pro is a lot of fun. This is because regardless of day or night, shots appear very detail and sharp.
Some sample of photos I took can be seen below.

The zoom is also equally good, reaching up to 120X digital zoom. The images appear very satisfying despite hitting 120X zoom. AI Motion Deblur also helps improve shots that are grainy. Below are shots using the zoom, from wide angle up to the maximum of 120x.

Night photography with the realme GT 7 Pro is also very fun because it takes photos fast, and makes each photo appear clear and nice as seen in the samples below.

I have no complaints in regard to selfies taken using the front camera as well as the rear camera which were both good enough for me as seen below.

Food photos also really pop-out and were just impressive.

In addition, the realme GT 7 Pro can also take photos underwater, and is the industry’s first underwater photography mode which is capable of taking photos underwater in depths of 2 meters.
During this mode, the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor allows me to activate the camera with ease.
However, since I don’t have a pool nearby, or any large containers which could actually test out this mode properly (or capture any proper photography), the best I could do is test the mode as you see below, capturing my toothpaste submerged in the sink of my house.

Videography
Aside from excelling in photography, the realme GT 7 Pro also does well in the videography department.
Some video test I did can be seen below.
Battery performance
Specs: 6,500mAh battery with 120W Supervooc charging
The massive 6,500mAh battery is the biggest silicon-carbon anode battery and despite it being such, it is still small, thin with a battery life of over four years.
During my test, the phone could play Youtube for about 20 hours and could last almost two days on a typical handphone daily use.
When the power is low, the phone can be charged to 50% in 14 minutes with the 120W Supervooc charger.

Durability
Specs: IP69 rated
The realme GT 7 Pro has an IP69 rating which means it is top level dust and water resistant. The rating is impotant since it is is supposed to be able to capture images or do photography underwater as well.

realme GT 7 Pro review verdict & availability
I am very impressed with the realme GT 7 Pro that I think it is the phone to beat among all the flagships.
The phone ticks almost all the boxes I have, and I really love the ease of its tripple 50MP Sony camera set-up.
Aside from that, the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, as well as numerous AI functions it has at its disposal, make this flagship phone one you should consider if you are looking for a new smartphone.
