The GT 2 Pro was announced for Malaysia today with the premium flagship device leading realme’s line-up of smartphones announced this year so far.
Originally announced in January, it took almost three months for this high-end smartphone to arrive in Malaysia officially.
As usual, when a new smartphone arrives, I’d mention its highlights.
realme GT 2 Pro highlights
For Malaysia, the variant made available for the local market is the 12GB RAM and 256GB ROM.
realme spared no discount by making sure the display of the smartphone is impressive as it features the world’s first 2K AMOLED Flat Display with LTPO technology. This display is fitted on a 6.7-inch E4 AMOLED which boast of over 4.5 million pixels and a whopping 525 pixels per inch. Adding to the impressive display is the Super Reality Display feature which can automatically adjust the refresh rate between 1 to 120 hertz.
Under the display is the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 5G chipset, with the smartphone getting a cooling area which is constructed with an all-new 9-layer cooling structure with a 4,129mm² Stainless Steel VC area. This structure provides sustained peak performance for long and intensive uses.
Such area further improves the processor’s performances, hence making the smartphone perform even better.
The realme GT 2 pro also sees the continuation of the collaboration between realme design studio and world-renowned designer Naoto Fukasawa, in which now features a Paper Tech Master Design concept for this particular smartphone.
According to the realme Malaysia, such design features an industry-first, eco-friendly, bio-based polymer on the rear cover to create a premium paper texture.
This design is not only skin-friendly, but fingerprint resistant, and can also prevent scratches to the device.
In the photography department, the smartphone comes with a triple camera setup with 50MP + 50MP dual primary camera which utilizes IMX766 flagship-level sensor with all pixel omni-directional PDAF and OIS features.
The camera set-up is also the world’s widest 150-degree Ultra Lens and it also has 40x Micro-Lens Camera. In front, the selfie is a 32MP lens.
Powering this beast of a smartphone is a Li-Po 5000 mAh non-removable battery which support fast charging at 65W.
Colour options for Malaysia are black and white.
Malaysia realme GT 2 Pro price and Availability
realme Malaysia will be offering the smartphone for RM2,599.00 from 25 – 26 March 2022 via their Shopee store.
This promotion will see buyers of the smartphone able to get free realme Buds 2 NEO from their purchase during the dates.
If you missed that promotion, the same promotion will again be available on realme’s Official Shopee store at the same price from 30 – 31 March 2022.
During other dates, the retail price of the realme GT 2 Pro will be RM2,999.00. Those buying the smartphone offline will not get any reduction in prices, but realme is throwing in some freebies while stocks last.
