realme had just recently released the realme C55 in Malaysia.
According to the brand, the realme C55 comes as “A Champion of The Segment” as it features the segments best 64MP camera, largest 256GB memory storage and 33W fast charge in a trendy and unique look inspired by Sunshower.

The C55 breaks the price barrier to deliver the only 64MP camera in the segment, alongside an 8MP selfie camera and 2MP B&W lens.
It is also the first C Series product to feature a flagship OV64B sensor with 0.7μm pixel size and 1/2″ optical format, the same sensor used in the realme GT Master Edition. Compared to its predecessor C35, the C55 has a 54% increase in sensor size and a 53.8% improvement in clarity and resolution.
The ProLight imaging technology allows the C55 to effectively improve the resolution and significantly optimises the highlight suppression ability, preserving more details in low-light conditions as well.
Aside from that, the C55 comes with up to 16GB of dynamic RAM and 256GB of ROM, making it now the largest storage in the segment.
On top of that, it supports up to 1TB of memory expansion with advanced DRE Technology allowing the smartphone to expand its 8GB of RAM by up to 8GB to achieve a 16GB-like experience.
This increased RAM support the Helio G88 Chipset it uses which is an octa-core running ticking at 2.0GHz with an Antutu benchmark score of 273,364.
The 5,000mAh battery of the smartphone also supports 33W SUPERVOOC charge which means it can charge to 100% in just 63 minutes. This is an improvement from its predecessor C35 with carries an 18W charge.
In terms of software, the smartphone features Android’s first Mini Capsule which can smartly adapt to the display and can be wrapped around the punch-hole camera cutout.
It can display various colours of its dynamic light in three battery status-Fully charged, Charging and Low battery in green, blue and red respectively. Besides, users can later experience two more functional scenarios of Data usage and Steps stats that require OTA to be realised. With Mini Capsule, users can get notifications for a better daily convenience.
Last but not least, the design of the C55 Sunshower design is inspired by natural elements and it is available in two colours: Sunshower and Rainy Night.
According to the company, there are 500,000 light particles that form vertical microscope lines which are like the lines of rain, coupled with dazzling colours to be like a sunshower that brings good mood to users.
The C55 also features the right-angle bezel and the thinnest 7.89mm body in the segment, enabling a comfortable gripping and in-hand feeling.
Additionally, C55 has a 6.72-inch full screen with FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate, resulting in a more comfortable visual experience. With a centrally positioned punch-hole that seamlessly blends with the phone’s body, C55 creates a better full-screen look and feel.

The smartphone is already available in Malaysia from RM699.
There’s two variants to choose from, the 6+128GB and the 8+256GB variant. The later is priced at RM799.
