I rarely talk about Oppo because I’m not exactly a huge fan of the brand. However, Oppo has been making a lot of decent smartphones lately, and I think its about time I do talk a bit about them.
The Chinese smartphone maker which is popular among youths is reported to be currently working on the Oppo R13, and specifications which have been leaked to date reveal that the new R13 smartphone would have Apple iPhone X design.
In a new leak believed to be taken from the Oppo R13, the “About Phone” section reveals that the smartphone would be running on the new ColorOS 4.0, which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo. This is a significant jump from the ColourOS 3.2 which currently occupies Oppo’s latest smartphones.
Aside from the software, the section also shows that the Opp R13 would have the option of 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, although there is a significant question of the type of processor which will be used by the smartphone for now.
Anyway, GizmoChina deduced that the so called ‘leak’ image may not be accurate as they claim that the leak meant that Oppo would be using a MediaTek processor for a flagship phone, a move they consider impossible for a flagship phone by Oppo.
That said, they have advised to just ignore the leak, and move on with life though it will be interesting nonetheless to see what the R13 would eventually have to offer.
