This week I had the opportunity to test the AUKEY MagFusion 3-in-1 Qi2 Magnetic Fast Wireless Charging Station which I obtained from my recent trip to the Switch World Program at The Spring Kuching.
The model I am reviewing here is the AUKEY LC-MC311 MagFusion 3-in-1, a charging station designed to charge a compatible smartphone, Apple Watch and wireless earbuds at the same time. It supports Qi2 wireless charging with up to 15W for the phone, while the watch and earbuds sections can deliver up to 5W each.
While the charger is promoted for Apple devices, I decided to also test it with the HONOR 600 Pro to see how it would work on an android device.
Main highlights
Frankly speaking, the biggest selling point of the Aukey MagFusion 3-in-1 is obviously its three-in-one design.
Thanks to it, I can place an iPhone on the magnetic charging stand, an Apple Watch on the dedicated watch charger and a pair of AirPods or another compatible wireless-charging accessory on the base.
The phone section supports Qi2 charging up to 15W, while the Apple Watch charger is officially MFW certified and supports up to 5W. The third charging area also provides up to 5W.
The Qi2 certification is important because it means the magnetic alignment is not just an improvised MagSafe-style solution. The charger is built around the Qi2 standard, which provides magnetic alignment and a more consistent connection between the phone and charging coil.
The station is also a Red Dot Award 2024 winner, which does not automatically make it a better charger, but it does explain why the design feels considerably more polished than many generic three-in-one charging docks.
Design, body and durability
The charger design is perhaps where the MagFusion 3-in-1 starts to feel like a premium accessory rather than a cheap charging dock.
The station has a fairly substantial presence on the desk. It measures approximately 154 x 102 x 102mm and weighs 285.4 grams, so it is not something that feels hollow or flimsy when you pick it up.
The weight is actually useful to ensure the stand stays in place and doesn’t get knocked off easily.
In fact, when I remove a phone from a magnetic charging stand, the weight helps the MagFusion stays planted reasonably well, and the solid construction gives it a more reassuring feel. I still had to hold the base of the charger nonetheless.
Because the phone sits upright, I can see notifications and the time without having to pick the phone up. For anyone using an iPhone as a bedside clock, desk notification screen or StandBy display, this makes more sense than a traditional charging pad.
AUKEY also gives the phone section a 30-degree adjustable viewing angle. That makes it useful beside a computer or on a bedside table because the phone can remain visible while charging.
There is also a practical advantage that is easy to overlook and you (like I did) will truely appreciate it when you are doing work while needing to check your phone constantly. The angle not only allows instant facial identification for quick unlocking, but also allows you to read messages, and use the phone without taking it away from the charger.
AUKEY uses a metal structure with a premium finish, while the Malaysian product listing also specifies tempered glass as part of the construction.
Touching the stand, it feels smooth and refined rather than plastickyand looks at home with other premium smartphone.
The magnetic phone mount is also strong enough to inspire confidence and the phone locks onto the charging point and stays there.
However, I would advice caution when carrying the charger around especially as any accidental drops can cause damage to the charger. This is by far my biggest issue with the charger as it is not by any standards a compact devices due to its size.
That said, a three-device charging setup normally means three cables, three charging points and a mess of wires but this MagFusion turns that into one station and one USB-C connection.
That alone can make a desk look significantly cleaner.
Charging speed
This is probably the most important part of the Aukey MagFusion 3-in-1 review, because wireless charging speeds have changed considerably over the last couple of years.
The LC-MC311 supports up to 15W wireless charging for the phone, 5W for the Apple Watch and 5W for the earbuds charging area. AUKEY specifies USB-C input at 5V/3A, 9V/3A or 12V/2.5A.
For older MagSafe-compatible iPhones and many Qi2 devices, 15W is still perfectly respectable.
But there is an important catch in 2026.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max supports up to 25W through MagSafe and Qi2, according to Apple’s specifications.
That means the MagFusion LC-MC311 cannot take advantage of the iPhone 17 Pro Max’s maximum wireless charging capability.
This is not necessarily a problem because 15W wireless charging remains convenient. But if you are buying a new charging station specifically because you want the fastest possible wireless charging, there are newer 25W Qi2.2 products that make more sense for the latest iPhones.
This became even clearer when considering the HONOR 600 Pro.
HONOR’s phone supports 50W HONOR Wireless SuperCharge, but achieving that maximum speed requires an appropriate HONOR wireless charger.
So putting the HONOR 600 Pro on the MagFusion does not magically give you 50W wireless charging. The AUKEY station is limited to its own 15W maximum.
There is also the question of charging heat.
Wireless charging generally produces more heat than wired charging because some energy is lost during the wireless transfer. With a 15W charger less heat is produced so while your charging may be noticeable slower, its more efficient.
This is good for battery maintenance especialy if you are charging overnight.
This is therefore where the MagFusion makes the most sense. In my opinion, it’s not to charge your phone fast, but to allow you to get juice when you are at work, when you sit at your desk or when going to bed.
It’s more efficient both in terms of lifestyle and for the phone’s battery as well.
The charger itself does not have a battery, so there is obviously no “battery life” to measure on the MagFusion. The battery-life advantage comes from how easily it keeps your devices topped up without needing to think about cables.
For me, that is more important than chasing the highest possible wattage.
Conclusion and where to buy
After looking closely at the AUKEY MagFusion 3-in-1, I think AUKEY got the most important part right: the experience.
This is a charging station that makes your desk or bedside table less messy and the 30-degree angle is indeed a joy to have and use.
If you are an iPhone user with an Apple Watch and AirPods, this is probably the type of accessory that you will appreciate more after several weeks of use than you do on the first day.
For those doing desk work, it will be something you would really appreciate when you need to refer to the phone while working making this charger perfect for those doing a lot of desk-work.
That said, the AUKEY Malaysia store currently lists the LC-MC311 at RM599, reduced from RM759, although promotional pricing can change.
It has also appeared at substantially lower promotional prices on the AUKEY Official Store on Shopee Malaysia, so that is where I would check during major sale periods before paying the full price.
In summary, the Aukey LC-MC311 is not the fastest three-in-one wireless charger anymore, but it is still one of those accessories that can make everyday charging much easier and that is ultimately what a good charging station should do.
