POCO has officially launched the POCO F9 Ultra and POCO F9 Pro, marking the latest generation of its F Series flagship smartphones.
The new POCO F9 series focuses heavily on performance, gaming, display technology, cameras and battery life, while also introducing a deeper audio partnership with Bose.

POCO F9 Ultra delivers flagship-level performance
The POCO F9 Ultra sits at the top of the new lineup and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform. According to POCO, the smartphone achieved an AnTuTu score of 4,165,108, the highest score recorded on a POCO smartphone.
Both the POCO F9 Ultra and POCO F9 Pro also feature the dedicated VisionBoost D8 chipset, which works alongside their flagship processors to enable Smart Frame Rate technology of up to 185FPS.
The POCO F9 Ultra additionally offers up to 1TB of storage, making it particularly suitable for users who store large game libraries, videos and other demanding content.
Gaming is further enhanced by POCO’s WildBoost Engine, with more than 20 game titles supporting native 185FPS gaming. The phones also feature up to a 4,800Hz instant touch sampling rate, 480Hz 10-point touch sampling and 200Hz gyro sampling for responsive controls.
The POCO 3D IceLoop cooling system is designed to keep performance stable during extended gaming sessions.
185Hz AMOLED display with up to 4,500 nits brightness
Display technology is another major highlight of the POCO F9 series.
Both smartphones feature a 185Hz POCO HyperRGB AMOLED display. The POCO F9 Ultra comes with a larger 6.9-inch display, while the POCO F9 Pro uses a more compact 6.59-inch panel.
The HyperRGB technology uses a full RGB subpixel structure to produce sharp and vibrant visuals while maintaining power efficiency. The series also introduces the M11 luminescent material, allowing peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits, while HDR content can reach up to 10,000 nits.
POCO has also introduced Xiaomi Vision Care, with the series receiving TÜV Rheinland Quadruple Eye Care certification.
200MP camera comes to the POCO F9
For photography, the POCO F9 series introduces the brand’s first 200MP ultra-clear camera system, with OIS available on both models.
The 200MP camera is designed to provide additional flexibility for cropping, reframing and editing photos after they have been captured. Both models also feature a 32MP front camera.
The POCO F9 Ultra takes the camera setup further with a 5x periscope telephoto camera, supporting 10x lossless zoom and up to 20x AI Ultra Zoom.
Meanwhile, the POCO F9 Pro features a 50MP 2.5x floating telephoto camera capable of focusing as close as 10cm for macro photography.
Both smartphones also support 4K video recording and POCO’s Live Cinematography features.
POCO F9 Ultra packs an 8,050mAh battery
Battery capacity is another key selling point of the POCO F9 Ultra.
The Ultra model features an 8,050mAh battery, the largest battery ever used in a POCO F Series smartphone. It uses 16% silicon-carbon content and is rated to provide up to two days of battery life.
The POCO F9 Pro, meanwhile, comes with a 6,330mAh battery.
Both models support 100W wired HyperCharge and 50W wireless HyperCharge, alongside reverse charging capabilities of up to 27W wired and 22.5W wireless.
Sound by Bose enhances the audio experience
POCO has also expanded its partnership with Bose for the new F9 series.
The POCO F9 Ultra features dual symmetrical 1115D stereo speakers combined with a large 1620 independent subwoofer, creating a 2.1-channel audio setup.
The POCO F9 Pro uses dual symmetrical 1115F super-linear stereo speakers and a Sealed Cavity Design.
Both smartphones offer Dynamic and Balanced sound profiles, while a dedicated Game Audio Mode is designed to make important gaming sounds such as footsteps easier to identify.
