OPPO has revealed ColorOS 16 its latest mobile operating system, which is set to debut globally with the upcoming Find X9 Series. The update focuses on delivering enhanced smoothness, intelligence, and seamless connectivity.

• Silky Smoothness Everywhere: The OS introduces Seamless Animation for instantaneous and connected interactions system-wide. This is powered by the All-New Luminous Rendering Engine, which renders all visual components in parallel to eliminate jarring animations , and the All-New Trinity Engine, which uses chip-level enhancements and smart resource allocation for sustained speed and power efficiency, especially during intensive gaming or multitasking. “Project Breeze” is also introduced to bring superior performance to entry-level devices.
• Refined Design: The design is inspired by light and shadow. New visual elements include a full-screen Always-On Display (AOD) and Flux Home Screen, which allows users to long-press and resize folders or app icons into various shapes, with the surrounding layout dynamically adapting.
• AI-Powered Editing: New photo editing solutions include AI Portrait Glow, which optimizes skin tones and balances light in poorly lit portraits with a single tap. This joins existing tools like AI Eraser, AI Unblur, and AI Reflection Remover. The video editor gains Master Cut for advanced adjustments and controls.

Seamless Connectivity: O+ Connect is expanded to support both Mac and Windows PCs, enabling users to manage phone files from their computer or remotely control their computer from their phone. Screen Mirroring allows users to cast and control up to five phone apps using a mouse and keyboard.
