OPPO Malaysia announced the launch of its new A-series smartphone – OPPO A18. The budget friendly smartphone is OPPO’s latest A-series offerings which are inline with OPPO’s “A-volution of Quality For All”.
OPPO A18 highlights
The new smaptphone features a large 5,000mAh battery and powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 with 4GB RAM+128GB ROM configuration, and RAM Expansion technology,.
The RAM Expansion Technology allows the smartphone to convert free ROM space into up to 4GB of RAM to keep the phone running smoothly during heavy-load scenarios.
In terms of design, the lineup also inherits the same iconic Ultra-Slim Retro Design as previous models in the OPPO A series.
It has the 2D Premium Design, and is about 8.16mm in thickness and weighing only about 188g.
In addition, the OPPO A18 features a Side Fingerprint Unlock functionality, allowing for swift and seamless unlocking even when the device is held with one hand.
The A18 also boasts a brand-new 6.56-inch HD+ display that supports 90Hz Sunlight Display that can reach up to 720 nits of brightness in High Brightness Mode.
Despite able to reach 720 nots, the smartphone also comes with All-Day AI Eye Comfort, which minimizes eye strain, making viewing comfortable regardless of screen time.
There’s also the Ultra Volume Mode, a software feature that helps amplify the speaker volume by 300%. This ensures easy phone calls and watching short videos, even in bustling or noisy environments.
In the photography and videography section, the phone comes equipped with an 8MP main camera and a 2MP bokeh camera.
In front, there’s a 5MP front camera, with the Portrait Retouching features.
For colour option, the phone comes in two stylish colors, Glowing Blue and Glowing Black.
To top up all the features above, the smartphone also has an IP54 dustproof and waterproof rating, with IPX4 Water Resistance,.
OPPO A18 price and availability
The OPPO A18 is available in both Glowing Blue and Glowing Black in Malaysia with 4GB (+4GB RAM) + 128GB ROM configuration at the recommended retail price of RM499.
