Nothing Phone (3) set for July 2 launch in Malaysia

The Nothing Phone (3) is officially set for a Malaysia launch on July 2nd at 1 AM.

This highly anticipated event will mark Nothing’s entry into the “true flagship” smartphone segment, a significant step up from their previous mid-range offerings.

CEO Carl Pei has been actively teasing the device, hinting at premium materials, major performance upgrades, and a software experience that is “leveled up.”

Notably, the Phone (3) is expected to ditch the iconic Glyph Interface for a new LED matrix display on its transparent back, signaling a bold design shift for the brand.

Rumors and leaks have painted a promising picture of the Nothing Phone (3)’s specifications.

It’s largely anticipated to be powered by a high-end Snapdragon 8-series chip, possibly the Snapdragon 8 Elite or Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, paired with substantial RAM, potentially up to 16GB, and storage options reaching 512GB. The display is rumored to be a vibrant 6.77-inch AMOLED LTPO panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits. Camera-wise, a triple-lens setup is expected, likely featuring a 50MP main sensor and a periscope telephoto lens for enhanced zoom capabilities, alongside a 32MP front camera.

Beyond the hardware, Nothing is heavily emphasizing AI integration in the Phone (3).

Carl Pei has indicated a deeper system-level integration of AI, with features like “Essential Space” (an AI hub for notes and screenshots) and other AI-driven interactions expected to debut with the Phone (3) and expand within Nothing OS 3.0.

The device is also tipped to pack a large 5,000mAh battery with support for 50W wired and 20W wireless charging.
