The HUAWEI Nova 8i was launched today during a summer launch event for the APAC region by the HUAWEI.
During the launch, the brand also introduced several other flagship models, some of which had already been revealed and priced here in Malaysia.
Aside from the Nova 8i, the brand launched the HUAWEI MatePad series tablets (MatePad Pro 12.6-inch, HUAWEI MatePad Pro 10.8-inch and HUAWEI MatePad 11), HUAWEI WATCH 3 Series smartwatch, HUAWEI FreeBuds 4, a next-generation open-fit Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) wireless Bluetooth earbuds, and two high-end monitors, the HUAWEI MateView and MateView GT respectively.

Anyway the Nova 8i will be the focus of this post so if you are interested in that smartphone, read on as I’ve yet to actually cover the smartphone in any of my post before.
Highlights of the HUAWEI Nova 8i
The HUAWEI nova 8i has a slim body and perfect a body ratio as it’s equipped with a 6.67-inch Huawei bezel-less screen.
The smartphone’s back cover is a beautiful visual and a sleek 4D curved design which is made through NCVM (non-conductive vacuum metallisation).
In the camera department, a rear quad camera system which includes a 64MP high-resolution main camera is the main highlight with the smartphone supporting 66W HUAWEI SuperCharge.

The smartphone comes with 8GB RAM which is paired with 128GB memory. It’s not the biggest but some may find it adequate.
Malaysia availability and price of HUAWEI Nova 8i
According to Huawei Malaysia, this flagship HUAWEI nova 8i will retail at RM 1,299, and it will be available for pre-order from 7 July.
Pre-orders will entitle buyers to freebies worth up to RM 260 which include a HUAWEI Entertainment Gift set, HUAWEI Video (1 month VIP access), HUAWEI Cloud Storage (1 month access – 200GB) and HUAWEI Music (3 months VIP subscription).
The smartphone can be pre-ordered directly at on HUAWEI Store Online, participating HUAWEI Partner Stores such as Lazada HUAWEI Flagship Store, Shopee HUAWEI Official Store, and Senheng as well as HUAWEI Experience Stores.
