HONOR is set to introduce its latest groundbreaking artificial intelligence (AI) feature during the global launch of the HONOR Magic6 Series at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 this Sunday night.
The global technology brand is experimenting with an AI powered eye-tracking feature that enables drivers to move their cars using just their gaze on the HONOR Magic6 Pro, eliminating the need for physical touch or voice commands.
HONOR has partnered up with automotive engineer Professor James Brighton to demonstrate the potential of this technology and it can be watched on Autocar’s YouTube channel.
The video shows the HONOR Magic6 Pro responding to four eye commands, allowing drivers to start and turn off the engine, as well as move the vehicle forward and backwards.
All this can be done by just looking at a specific icon and the eye tracking feature will control the car remotely without anyone in the vehicle. The HONOR Magic6 Pro has a front sensor that recognises which icon the person is looking at, and the device uses AI to start or move the vehicle.
HONOR says it is confident that this AI technology has the potential to revolutionize the future landscape of human-device communication.
