HONOR Magic5 Pro preview and highlights

HONOR has just announced two major flagships to the world market with the announcement of the HONOR Magic5 Pro and HONOR Magic Vs at Mobile World Congress 2023.

During the event, HONOR also announced the global launch of the successful HONOR Magic Series line-up, all set to deliver a true flagship smartphone experience for users around the world.

HONOR Magic5 Pro highlights

During the launch, HONOR emphasised on how the new flagship of the Magic series will be all-round smartphone as it boasts impressive breakthroughs in design, display, photography, and performance, beating several industry benchmarks to deliver a best-in-class user experience.

It is powered by the latest Snapdragon® 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform and runs of the latest MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13.

The company stressed that the smartphone had earned the #1 position in the DXOMARK Smartphone Display Ranking for Symmetrical Design Featuring a Quad-Curved Floating Screen with its 6.81-inch LTPO Display.

Aside from that, the HONOR Magic5 Pro also features a Discrete Display Chipset to improve the visual quality of moving images while at the same time offering an always-on high dynamic range (HDR) effect to enhance video clarity, the chipset delivers a higher frame rate with lower power consumption for a smoother, longer gaming experience.

Much emphasis has been given towards the camera set-up of the smartphone with the HONOR Magic5 Pro ranked #1 in the DXOMARK Smartphone Camera Ranking.

In general, the smartphone has a powerful Triple Main Camera combination comprising a 50MP Wide Camera, a 50MP Ultra Wide Camera, and a 50MP Telephoto Camera which has an increased sensor size for superior light sensing performance.

Aside from that, there’s also Ultra Fusion Computational Optics, a computational optical algorithm complementing the camera system, drastically improves image clarity at 3.5x-100x zoom, setting the device apart from other smartphones on the market.

The addition of the the all-new HONOR Image Engine also debuts an all new Millisecond Falcon Capture algorithm.

This new algorithm enables users to capture complex scenes with remarkable ease and clarity.

In addition, the HONOR Magic5 Series boasts AI Motion Sensing Capture, which is capable of automatically detecting the highest point of jump and capturing the frame in ultra-high definition.

It also features IMAX Enhanced Movie Master which can be used to show and edit stunning videos.

In terms of security, the smartphone has an enhanced Privacy and Security for All-round Protection which includes a Dual-TEE Security System which is co-developed with Qualcomm.

The HONOR Magic5 Pro also introduces an industry-first Sound Energy Spatial Control Technology, which generates opposites sound waves to prevent sound leakage for private phone calls.

The 5,100mAh battery supports 66W Wired and 50W Wireless HONOR SuperCharge which delivers a full day of uninterrupted usage.

HONOR Magic5 Pro Malaysia price and availability

The flagship smartphone will be available in Meadow Green and Black from the second quarter of 2023.

It will start from EURO 899 (around RM4,285) for the 8GB+256GB variant and EURO 1,599 (about RM7,620) for the 12GB+512GB variant.
