vivo X80 Pro highlights
The X80 Pro is powered by dual chips for professional imaging and it, this time, delivers cinematic style video modes in collaboration with ZEISS.
Under the hood, the smartphone comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and is decked with an Ultra Large Liquid Cooling Vapor Chamber that allows for maximum cooling surface area.
It has a large X-Axis Linear Motor which is supported by vivo’s self-developed vibration algorithm to allow quiet but powerful scene-based vibration.
The biggest highlight of this smartphone is of course it’s camera.
It comes with a rear four-camera system with a 50MP Ultra-Sensing GNV Camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), 48MP Wide-Angle Camera, 12MP Gimbal Portrait Camera, an 8MP Periscope Camera, and a 32MP front camera.
The 12MP Gimbal Portrait Camera is the core upgrade that allows for video enhancement and stability, while X80 Pro’s main camera also includes an exclusively customised Ultra-Sensing GNV Sensor to optimise reflectivity and reduce stray light paired with a High Transmittance Glass Lens for low dispersion and temperature drift to reduce glaring.
In addition to that, the vivo smartphone is able to use the new ZEISS Cinematic Video Bokeh feature to create powerful, oval flare bokeh with a 2.39:1 ratio.
vivo also claims that users can also create portrait videos with regular lens video bokeh with the bokeh effect matching different styles of angles.
Aside from that, the X80 Pro also comes with ZEISS Superb Night Camera that’s upgraded with features such as Pure Night View and exclusive ZEISS T Coating.
Added features to the X80 Pro include the AI Video Enhancement, Camera Panning, and Night Sports Mode.
Like the base X80, the X80 Pro also comes with Dual Stereo Speaker, but adds on IP68 waterproof- and dustproof-certification to it’s specs.
It’s powered with a 4,700 mAh battery that supports 50W wireless FlashCharge and comes equipped with a brand-new 3D Ultrasonic Large Fingerprint Sensor that can unlock the phone within 0.2 seconds and comes in only Cosmic Black.
Personal thoughts on the vivo X80 Pro
The vivo X80 Pro comes looking like a complete photography smartphone which will blow you away.
While I’ve not tested it myself, the spec sheet makes this flagship smartphone look really impressive.
The gimbal stabilisation is something I look forward to, and the additional IP68 rating is something I would love having standard on all smartphones.
This smartphone will be made available via vivo Malaysia’s official E-store and vivo Malaysia’s official flagship store on Shopee and Lazada soon, so do check out the stores below to know when it is out.
