Highlights of the vivo X Fold+ as it gets launched in China

vivo has recently launched its new and advanced flagship foldable device – vivo X Fold+ in China.

The vivo X Fold+ comes with many upgrades in hardware and software performances compared to its predecessor, vivo X Fold, which received many positive feedback from the public.

vivo X Fold+ highlights

The smartphone comes equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip with 4nm process, which reduces the power consumption of CPU and GPU by 30%.

According to vivo, this enables the foldable smartphone to achieve great power consumption optimisation, while greatly improve the overall performance.

Besides that, the SPU secure processing unit in the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip offers highly secure protection for privacy, such as financial-level scenarios.

It also has a one-click feature that closes the mobile phone sensors in stealth mode, and the atomic privacy system can only be accessed through exclusive fingerprints.

The folding smartphone is also the first folding screen mobile phone in the industry to offer dual 5G, dual SIM and dual access.

The company said this is due to customised adjustment of the main chip with Qualcomm.

In terms of display, the X Fold+ is equipped with the world’s first internal and external 2K + 120Hz LTPO full-height swipe screen, with an internal screen of 8.03 inches and an external screen of 6.53 inches.

The inner screen of the smartphone also uses UTG ultra-tough glass with aerospace-grade worry-free hinges.

This hinge uses six layers of aerospace-grade materials, such as liquid metal zirconium alloy, F53 aviation high-strength steel, and carbon fibre board

Aside from being durable and test certified by Rheinland for passing 300,000-fold folding test, the hinge is also lightweight and has better resistance to external shocks.

The 4730mAh battery of the smartphone supports 80W wired FlashCharge + 50W wireless FlashCharge.

This is an upgrade from the former model, in which results in a 70% charge in 18 minutes, and a full charged in 35 minutes.

Zeiss Imaging headlines the camera of the vivo X Fold+ as it features a quad camera combination at the rear with a 50MP main camera, 48MP 114° ultra-wide-angle main camera without correction, 5X optical zoom and 60X super zoom periscope telephoto and 12MP Professional portrait camera.

In front, a 16MP selfie camera which also supports previewing photos on the external screen is installed.
