Yes becomes 1st Malaysian telco to launch 5G Advanced service

YTL Communications’ service brand, Yes, has become the first Malaysian telco to commercially launch 5G Advanced service.

The rollout, currently deployed in the Klang Valley, is set for nationwide completion by December 2025, promising deeper coverage, faster performance, and AI-ready connectivity for both consumers and businesses.

The new 5G network features class-leading speeds, ultra-low latency, and introduces advanced network slicing with quality-of-service prioritisation, creating a “VIP lane” for consistent connectivity.

This ensures best-in-class performance for activities like streaming, gaming, and industrial applications.

The technology utilizes advanced spectrum integration (700MHz and 3500MHz) for wider outdoor and stronger indoor coverage.

In a move to democratise the technology, all existing Yes 5G Postpaid and Wireless Broadband customers are automatically upgraded to the 5G Advanced network at no extra cost.

Limited-time celebratory offers include an uncapped data and speed 5G Advanced Broadband bundle for RM68 per month, and phone bundles with savings on the latest 5G Advanced-ready devices.
